Our services are offered to anyone living with a life-limiting illness or their friends/family members/caregivers. We provide ongoing support from the time of someone’s diagnosis, including providing bereavement support after a death. Our clients are 16 years of age or older and live in our service area.
Anyone can refer or request support from Hospice Orillia by contacting us directly. When you call, you will be directed to one of our Coordinators who will ask for the name, address, and phone number of the person needing care and ensure that we have consent to contact them. You may also be asked for details about the individual’s general medical condition, diagnosis and prognosis.
The Coordinator will contact the individual within two working days to arrange a time to meet to discuss his/her situation and needs.
Each one of our programs has a different focus, and has been designed to help individuals, friends and family members in different ways. During your first meeting, the Coordinator may suggest specific services that will give you the best support for your situation. If Hospice Orillia is unable to help directly, we will put you in touch with other community agencies that can meet your needs.
