Hospice Orillia and our dedicated volunteers hope to provide individuals living with life limiting illness and their caregivers with the opportunity to engage in legacy activities.
“I feel that this is a very good project. Kids these days don’t understand family heritage. That’s what makes this project great. When people ask about great-grandma, I can just give them the project. It’s all right there. I wish I had one for my father. This is one of the best things.”
Legacy activities provide individuals and families a space to reflect on special moments, memories, and events that have had an impact on their lives. Legacy activities can also act as gifts to loved ones.
Volunteers will come to the individual’s home (wherever “home” is for them) to assist in legacy activities.
