Hospice Orillia and our dedicated volunteers hope to provide individuals living with a progressive life-threatening illness with the opportunity to engage in legacy activities.

“I feel that this is a very good project. Kids these days don’t understand family heritage. That’s what makes this project great. When people ask about great-grandma, I can just give them the project. It’s all right there. I wish I had one for my father. This is one of the best things.”

Legacy activities at Hospice Orillia offer individuals with progressive life-threatening illnesses a space to reflect on special moments, memories, and events that have had an impact on their lives. Legacy activities can also act as gifts to loved ones.

Volunteers will come to the individual’s home (wherever “home” is for them) to assist in legacy activities.

Activities Include:

  • Letter & Card Writing
  • Scrapbooks
  • Life Story Book

All supplies will be provided and this program is offered FREE OF COST.
